Job Opening: Technical Manager, South Africa and SADC Countries

 

Agency searches a technical manager for a European Foundation dedicated to improve the IT and networking education. In partnership with Cisco®, the foundation supports the Cisco Networking Academy program. This education initiative offers a full solution in ICT and networking skills to education partners on a global level, covering more than 800,000 students worldwide. As part of the growth strategy, the foundation is currently recruiting an Associate Technical Manager for South Africa and SADC countries.

 

Reporting to the Area Technical Manager, the position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

 
  • Monitoring and evaluating the program quality performance
  • Visit strategic governments and academies showing Networking Academy portfolio
  • Technical speaker in IT seminars
  • Preparing and participating as instructor in train of trainers
  • Suggesting adjusts in Networking Academy Curriculum for African countries
  • Supervising equipment of IT bundles for African countries
 

Interesting candidates will possess the following professional and personal background:

 

·         Previous experience of teaching in IT educational programs and projects in the private and/or public sector

·         Very good communication skills (presentations, teaching, etc.)

·         Excellent PR and positive customer service attitude

·         Strong ICT competence and engineering background

·         Experimented member of Networking Academy Community

·         Familiar with distance learning tools and creating distance courses

·         Cisco® CCNA Certification or superior

·         Independently working in a team, with a flexible approach, problem solved skills, dynamic and with entrepreneurial spirit;

·         Fluency in English and French.

·         Willingness to travel
