    EU Project

INLEA is a founding member of the e-Skills Industry Leadership Board (ILB) with the European Union.

The ILB is a prestigious organization that acts as the executive voice of ICT companies, ICT services companies and other industry providers of e-skills and certifications in Europe.

All participants share a strong commitment to education in ICT, which is clearly seen through the four key objectives:

•Motivating and empowering future generations with e-skills

•Promoting ICT practitioner education, competencies and training

•Boosting the employability of the workforce with ICT user skills, including the deployment of multi-stakeholder partnerships

•Provide foresight and support for future skills needed in a changing environment with emerging technologies and new business models.

By bringing together thought leaders on e-skills, the ILB engages in regular and substantial dialogue on e-skills policy issues with public authorities in the EU and, when appropriate, Member State level and other stakeholders. The goal of these meetings is to foster leadership and partnership in developing the digital literacy and e-skills long term agenda.

INLEA is an active member in the ILB, and strives to help achieve their objectives. One key example is our support in implementing  the recommendations contained in the 2006 ICT Taskforce report and the 2007 European Commission Communication on “e-Skills for the 21st Century: Fostering Competitiveness, Growth and Jobs.”
